For those that know Pete, the day had eventually come to say farewell. Pete's been intending to leave Brisneyland for Oxford, UK for the better part of this year. Given the wheels of academia turn very slowly, he only now has certainty in his appointment/fellowship to Oxford.

Linda's 21st!

After a few weeks of deliberating between karaoke venues, the decision was made to hold Linda's 21st at Club Penrose. I think it was a great choice considering the ties my [gf]'s has with people at this house. And, another plus is that Kimba could also join in as well ‚Äì although I am pretty sure he spent most of the afternoon & evening hiding under a car somewhere. First of all, shout out to Mel for providing the happy snaps from the party. You can find an album of various piccies from the night here.... There's a few smattered around this entry as well.

I think this would be one of my best lazy fun weekends ever. Read on...

After a week of struggling with my thesis, the weekend held unlimited potential. And, it did turn out to be a fantastic weekend. In accordance with the great Australian tradition of only working 4 and half days a week, Friday afternoon involved quick drinks with [gf] & her journalism buddy down at the RedRoom on campus, quickly followed by a housewarming at BBH & Fi's new place... Snakebites, pizza, and the uni crew - not a bad start to the weekend in all...

Nightmares...

Last night I came across something that I rarely encounter. Actually, I rarely remember any type of dreaming at all. Usually I remember little about the sleep process, unless its the urgent evacuation of the prior evening's beers somewhere around 2am in the morning. I am usually the proverbial log.
