I guess it is time I must go and meet the 'real world'. Having been immersed in education for the better part of my 26-and-a-bit years, I really have no idea what it is like looking for that job.
It is a little scary for me right now. Its been a long time since I put myself out there, and well, in my current situation I guess I feel all that more precarious. I'm a 'failed' grad student (i.e. not out in under 5 years), so academics tend to leave us to our own devices (meaning no job offers until we're done). But when you're broke (but luckily for me not homeless or hungry), you still need an income coming in.
