Lately

Hmm, I have been a little quiet lately. The change of weather in Shanghai (plus the end of year rush) has really caused me to retreat into my shell.

Here's a short synopsis of what I've been up to....

• Enduring a series of autumn/winter colds. My nose and throat is starting to feel the strain.
• Meeting Lozza's bro Jeff, and quickly understanding 19 year olds will be much better at Ultimate Disc than I ever could be.
• Twisting my knee/ankle - just pride and a sore leg for a few days.
• A repeat viewing of the awesome Shaolin Soul Kung Fu spectacular at the Lyceum Theatre (Changle Lu & Maoming Lu).
• Making new friends in our apartment building while repairing my bike.
• Going to see 'ERA' at the Shanghai Circus World. With no doubt the best show I've seen in Shanghai.
• Repeatedly cursing the fact that the pedal-housing of my new bike kept falling out, causing commuting chaos for yours truly and a quickly appreciated fact that I was far less mobile in Shanghai without my bike. Its all fixed now thanks to the 1 year warranty at Giant Bikes!
• Undergoing a physical at a Chinese hospital.
• Reign Design becoming the 'Unflushable Team' in the SIBL Toilet Bowl League.
• Realising that my concept of winter clothing wasn't going to cut it in Shanghai this winter. I now have more effective thermal underwear and a new outlook on being warm. Its frickin cold here right now.
• Back at work (enough said about that).
• Moping around due to several reasons - change of weather, self-doubt, home-sickness, disillusionment, lack of beer in the fridge, etc. - the usual reasons.
• Enjoying immensely our revisiting of Little Britain Series 2 on DVD (KaDe Club on Zhenning Lu north of Yuyuan Lu if you're keen).
• Christmas shopping, which was preceded by several bouts of hair-tearing when trying to decide what I could end up buying for various people in my life.

On top of a super-busy work schedule, I'm also organising to move this site to a new webhosting service. So in the next few weeks there's going to be a reduced number of posts.
