WITH an inscrutable expression, a giant Kevin Rudd looks out over Cameron Road in Hong Kong, silently urging overseas Australians to vote in the election.

The seven-metre-tall billboard, costing $HK80,000 (about $11,600) a month, is in Tsim Sha Tsui, the main tourist hub of the former territory and was installed almost two weeks ago.

Mr Rudd, famed for his ability in Mandarin, is using English to target Australians in Hong Kong.
